Engineering the execution, ensuring every detail functions seamlessly, flows effortlessly, and has a clear strategic plan.
After more than two cumulative decades producing hundreds of weddings, we know that the most memorable and inspiring celebrations never come together merely by chance. They’re built from the start with unmatched logistical expertise AND masterful design artistry.
For the unforgettable wedding you deserve, we’re leading an exclusive collaboration that fully integrates design and logistics—singular focus areas developed together.
Working side by side, we create perfect events that, in one seamless flow, have it all. Beauty and precision. Form and function.
Most planners approach the wedding planning process and design direction as separate checklists. This separation often leads to:
Design decisions made without financial clarity
Budgets built without design direction
Layouts that look beautiful but function poorly
A disconnect between vision and execution
Our process eliminates this fragmentation.
From the very beginning, we build your wedding collaboratively. The design greatly informs the planning. The planning protects the design. Nothing is created in isolation, and everything is built in the right order.
We focus on spatial planning and layouts to guide the guest experience, develop a design plan with full production awareness and sound visual interpretation, and use vendor sequencing and timelines to support the design production.
Every decision has a purpose and is made in partnership to achieve an event that feels truly complete.

Pattern Play, in May
Hannah & Ryan, May 17th 2025
Black River Barn, South Haven, Michigan
Hannah and Ryan’s May 17th celebration at Michigan’s Black River Barn was a vibrant, design-forward wedding built with thoughtful planning and creative development. With over 200 guests in attendance, this springtime celebration balanced large-scale impact with a sense of warmth and ease, all in a setting deeply personal to the bride; her hometown right on the cusp of picturesque Lake Michigan.
A defining design decision early in the process was to rework the venue’s traditional use of the space. Flipping the standard reception table layout and fully concealing the permanent bar structure made room for design to take shape—the industrial architecture receded, leaving a clean foundation. The addition of custom lavender velvet drapery created an unexpected focal point and a whimsical backdrop for guests to dance all evening to the unbeatable live entertainment by Rush Street Rhythm.
Rhiannon Bosse Celebrations led the full design and production for the soiree, shaping a cohesive visual story throughout the day. Sculptural florals in a cheerful palette of corals, pinks, and peach were layered with watercolor-painted stationery by Liz Dixon. A mix of both eyelet and brightly patterned linens, and refined tabletop details were paired with charming wicker lamps and a bevy of candlelight to create further visual interest and add a layered aesthetic to the space. Nearly half of the florals were locally grown in West Michigan, adding a strong sense of seasonality and place.
Custom elements further defined the experience, including the couple’s Save the Dates that were die cut in the shape of ‘The Mitten’ (a playful nod to the wedding location), a trellis-inspired cake display pedestal, curved racetrack bar, and styled back bar bookcases. Soft seating lounges and upholstered settees were thoughtfully incorporated from cocktail hour to reception to create moments of comfort and connection within the larger celebration.
Paper Hat Weddings, led by Lindsay McLaughlin, directed all the planning and logistics, bringing both sound structure and a deep understanding of the South Haven area to the overall experience. With Hannah and Ryan planning from Chicago while balancing busy careers, Lindsay’s local knowledge proved invaluable, particularly in guiding accommodations and guest logistics for the many loved ones traveling in for the celebration.
From hotel coordination to seamlessly managed shuttle schedules, every layer of the guest experience was thoughtfully considered and executed with ease. Lindsay’s ability to anticipate needs, navigate timing, and maintain flow throughout the weekend and wedding day ensured that each transition felt natural and uninterrupted.
Rhiannon and Lindsay’s partnership created the perfect synergy, leveraging their unique skills to produce a celebration for Hannah and Ryan that felt as effortless in experience as it was intentional in design.
Kinds notes from the client
"Rhi - the flowers!!!! Our dream came true with the bright beautiful fun INCREDIBLE flowers you put together for us. Our guests (and us!) could not stop taking about them! A highlight of the wedding day that elevated everything to a beautiful spring garden charming classic day! I loved my bouquet and the flowers in front of the band OMG! One of my favorite parts was sitting at the end of the table (which every table was perfection!) with Ryan looking down the long table of all our college friends mingling together - we were filled with so much joy and love. THE BAR! This was the best surprise seeing it all come together - even the peony coffee table book on the shelves!? Loved it! Everything was so “us!” Thank you for all your creative ideas in the spacing, colors, and rentals."
"Lindsay - thank you for helping us all stay so calm so we can enjoy not only the wedding weekend, but the entire planning process. You helped us understand options and ideas, we’re quick to respond, and there for us every step. I told you the night of the wedding, but all my gfs and aunts had a girl crush on you and admired how you truly looked like you not just working but also having fun! Could not agree more with them - Ryan and I are so appreciative for your guidance and dedication you provided us. We would recommend you over and over to any future brides!"

Frequently asked questions
Rhinnon Bosse Celebrations x Paper Hat Weddings
-
Depth and clarity of focus.
Planning and design are equally important, but they demand different thought patterns, skill sets, and levels of attention. When one team is responsible for both, those priorities are often divided, and execution may fall short.
-
While we lead together within our area of expertise, you will have two points of contact:
Lindsay — for planning, logistics, timelines, and budget management
Rhiannon — for design, floral direction, rentals, layout, and production
For our clients, this creates a sense of clarity and ease: you are supported by two experts who are fully aligned, highly communicative, and equally invested in your wedding’s success. We collaborate continuously behind the scenes, and in doing so, communication remains clear, streamlined, and cohesive.
If there is a task relevant only to planning, Lindsay handles those conversations and respective emails. Alternatively, if there’s a topic focused on design with no relevance to logistics, then Rhiannon handles that communication.
We’ve executed dozens of weddings with our Integrated Planning & Design offering and have clear and concise communication down to an art.
-
Through constant collaboration and a shared philosophy.
Rhiannon and Lindsay both believe that extraordinary wedding design should be built with a strong, clearly defined foundation—one that considers guest count, budget, and venue. Planning should support and protect that vision at every step.
Because we are in close communication with you, our client, and each other as partners throughout the process, every decision is made with both structure and aesthetics in mind. This ensures that what is imagined is not only beautiful but fully achievable and executed with precision.
-
Your investment is structured into three parts:
01. Planning & Production Fee (flat-rate with Paper Hat Weddings)
02. Design Fee (flat-rate with Rhiannon Bosse Celebrations)
03. Floral & Decor Investment (with minimum spend requirements)Each proposal is customized based on your guest count, venue, and overall scope. Labor costs are estimated once the event’s foundational scope is disclosed.
-
This model is best suited for weddings with a higher complexity of elements, customization, and production. Most often, this includes tented weddings, private estate venues, country clubs, and destination events.
There are always exceptions given the foundational elements of the day. For example, an event with an estimated guest count of 80 people but held in a logistically challenging location would benefit greatly from this service. Likewise, a client with a high regard for unique design but little to no margin to bring their vision to fruition would find great relief once they hand over the reins to us.
Financially, our services are best suited for event investments of $100,00+.
If your wedding plans require logistical expertise and masterful design that’s thoughtfully crafted and seamlessly executed, we would love to explore this partnership with you.
The first step is a consultation call with us. During the call, we will:
Learn more about your vision, priorities, and guest experience
Review your venue, budget, and overall wedding scope
Determine if this integrated approach is the right fit for you
From there, we will develop a custom proposal that is aligned with your wedding preferences and needs.
Please fill out the form below.
We can’t wait to hear your story and explore your vision for this celebration.
